ABOUT ME:

A little about my background as a string player...

I have over 25 years of performance experience in the weddings and events industry and I've been lucky enough to have performed with some of Australia’s best orchestras.

I started my career with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and went on to play extensively throughout Australia, Europe and the US in both the classical and pop music worlds. I've performed with the Sydney, Queensland and Munich Symphony Orchestras and the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra alongside various major musical theatre productions.

In recent years I've recorded, toured and collaborated with pop artists such as Josh Groban, Bliss N Eso, Human Nature, Delta Goodrem, Lana Del Rey, Harry Connick Jr, Paul Kelly, Missy Higgins, Tim Freedman and Michael Buble'.

I've performed for Princess Mary and Prince Frederik of Denmark and the Duchess of Kent and I've regularly appeared on TV shows such as The Voice Australia, Sunrise, Australian Idol, X Factor, Today, Dancing With The Stars, Australia's Got Talent and the ARIAs.

BACKGROUND MUSIC

I perform background music especially tailored to your wedding or event which can be played with or without backing tracks in a range of styles from classical to pop, laid back or upbeat. For weddings I'll happily accommodate 3 special requests for your key moments at no additional cost. Prices start at $450 + gst and I play in a number of settings.

SOLO: A range of recognisable melodies (classical, broadway and movie themes, traditional songs, jazz and pop ballads).

SOLO with BACKING TRACKS:

Classical versions of current and recent pop songs with piano and guitar backing tracks. Pop ballads and upbeat songs are included in this set with the more upbeat choices reworked into slower romantic ballads.

Or:

Chilled out pop songs mixed with some more upbeat numbers accompanied by contemporary backing tracks. This package combines the classical string sound with a current, slick pop edge.

Or: A bit of both.

WITH DJ: If you've hired a DJ for your wedding or event and would like to add a live element, I can work with your DJ to coorindate this, If not, I can source or reccomend a DJ for you.

FEATURE SPOTS

EVENT HIGHLIGHT/OPENER: I perform a high energy 15 min feature spot as an event highlight/opener. I play current pop or reworked classical favourites accompanied by backing tracks while roving amongst guests. I'm more than happy to work-shop repertoire ideas with you. Almost any request is possible but some may incur additional fees.

LED VIOLIN ACT: Take the on-trend LED aesthetic to a new level with a live LED violin performance at your event. Find out more here.

SERENADES, WEDDING FIRST DANCES and ZAFFA - Some of my favourite contexts to perform in!

SERENADES: Give the gift of a personal string serenade or hire me for your own private performance. Ideal for proposals, special occasions or even birthday gifts.

WEDDING FIRST DANCES: Let me take the romance levels up a notch by performing live at your wedding reception while you do your first dance.

WEDDING ZAFFA: Add to the festivities as you enter your wedding reception. I rove as I play and can easily team up with your chosen Zaffa musicians or can perform solo.

All of these services can also be performed as a duo, trio, quartet or larger group.
